100% Phat was established in 2005 by two long time friends and music buffs, MJ and Steve Costa, who were united by a love of music, late nights and top shelf. Having been involved in every level of club promotion from street hype, distribution, event production, running weekly nights of various genres and touring international and local DJs, 100% Phat is the product of all the knowledge gained through these endeavours.

Drawing on over two decades of experience in Melbourne's club and dance music scene, 100% Phat provides promotions and marketing, publicity, event production and promotional consultancy with professionalism, flair, and sometimes a lack of sleep…. While we put in the hours in the office, we still love going to parties, gigs and clubs to keep our finger on the pulse, and experience first hand what Melbourne's wildly talented DJs and live acts have to offer.

We have also recently moved into artist management, helping local artists such as Nick Thayer, Agent 86 and DJ Flagrant realize their full potential. We truly believe every one of our artists has what it takes to not only conquer the scene locally, but make their mark internationally as well. We don't take on just anyone, we need to believe in what they do and how they go about it. We don't care if they have chiseled features which send Kookai wearing ladies crazy or how many people they can get on their guestlist. That has nothing to do with the music. We are fans first, and their management team second.

We have a wealth of experience in touring as well, having been responsible for bringing DJs such as Stacey Kidd, Honey Dijon, Roy Davis Jnr, James Curd (Greenskeepers) and DJ Karizma to Australia. We have also been involved with events in Melbourne that have played host to artists as diverse as the Jungle Brothers, Anthony Pappa, Ron Carroll, Jazzy Jeff, Andy Caldwell, Johnny Fiasco, DJ Heather, Eric Powell (Bush Records), and Afrika Islam (Zulu Nation).

In the past two years this hard work has been recognised, with everyone from streetpress media, record companies, event companies and countless clubs wanting to utilise our skill and knowledge, and experience within the scene.

Today and into the future, 100% Phat is committed to excellence in every facet of what we do. We want to see out artists succeed. We want to see smiling faces at our events.
